my new project “ghil.lo” will be presented on august 30th, friday…
in a month on august 30th, friday i’m presenting a new project titled “ghil.lo” that includes korean traditional instruments for the first time since “cheol.kkot.sae. (steel-flower-bird)” about 7 years ago… i’m quite excited but also nervous at the same time just like with all other projects i have going at the moment… but what can i say, i will just have to do my best so these fabulous musicians will also get something meaningful out of this project…!

유산/heritage <open references>
돌아와요 부산항에 그리고 진도아리랑 / come back to busan harbor and jindo arirang
last week at d/p in seoul, i presented “come back to busan harbor and jindo arirang” as part of their ongoing lecture series <open references> on theme of heritage, that i examined korean musical and cultural references in my compositions along with other musical influences throughout my life so far… it was more fun than i had imagined and i’d love to share it with you…! they are slightly different since the korean one was for the general audience who didn’t necessarily knew of my music or me before attending the lecture… i mean if you are already here at my website, i’m assuming you kind of know what i do already…?
